Lexi Hoodie - Requirements & Sizing

(Non-directional prints recommended for all fabric choices where possible).

 

•  SIZES XS-4XL: 15 or more fat quarters of low volume fabric.

•  SIZES 5XL-6XL: 16 or more fat quarters of low volume fabric.

​

•  10cm x 60cm (4” x 22”) pieces of 8 high volume star fabrics.

​

•  1.3m (1.4yd) of 108” wide cotton sateen wideback (quilt backing)    

    OR  

    S-L 2m (2.2 yd) / XL-6XL 2.6m (2.9yd) of 44” wide soft/fine quilter’s cotton for lining.

•  2.7m (3yd) of 40-44” of plain white flannel (to be used as batting) 

    OR

    2.7m (3yd) of 40-44” of thin lightweight fusible or non fusible fleece suitable for              fashion (I used Parlan for my hooded sweatshirt and flannel for my hoodless one).

   

    Please Note: you could choose to use a thicker quilt batting but this will result in                a lot less softness and drape than pictured.

​

•  3.2m (3.6 yards) of pre-made 25mm single fold bias tape or enough fabric to make it.

​

•  Quality cotton thread.​​
